Default seat belt interlock total removal?

I checked all the posts about by-passing the seat belt interlock on a '74 and saw Noonie's post, his was the cleanest when leaving the orange block on the firewall. I want to remove the entire block permanently so I splice the purple & green wires do I need to do anything with the 2 remaining wires that are still in the block, what are they for? can I just clip them & cap them inside of some loom?

The black wire is a ground for the relay. I think the pink is a 12v power feed from the dash harness. Since this system was a one-off on the 74, I am not sure how that interlock system is tied together.

The pink gets 12 volts when the key is turned on.
That is the 'trigger' to turn on that relay.
Since you have bypassed the relay you can just leave that pink wire alone.
The black is the ground for the relay, no needed for that wire after bypass, so leave it alone.

Purple to green with a jumper.

You can track the function of all those wires on a 74 wiring diagram. But I suspect the 2 you're asking about can be capped and stowed.

Not so sure that's true. My Apr 75 car had it, until I removed it all.

Default Drunk history!

The rumor I heard was that the 'Insurance' lobby told Congress that buckling up would save lives and reduce the payouts and by saving more money there would be plenty left for each Congressman's fund.
12 Months later:
Public out cry prevailed and the system was cancelled but many early 1975's already had the system installed.

Probably explains why my 75, built late 74 has it.
