Moving her outdoors. First time in two weeks.
Taking her off the wheel dollies
Moving her inside the trailer. Love the heavy duty winch.
Safely inside, strapping her down for her ride home.
Arrived at home, preparing for unloading.
On the driveway for pictures before heading onto the lift.
Positioned for loading onto the lift. No power on it yet so using a winch to pull her aboard.
Almost home.
Disconnecting from the winch, final positioning for working in the garage on the lift.

In the garage, on the lift, half way up. This will allow me to work at eye level regardless of what I am working on with the car.
The car looks a little bare in spots because I have not selected or placed the final "company logo's" for the car. I have many that I want to use but have not finalized them yet, nor had them printed yet, nor had them placed on the car.
NOTE: If you have suggestions on logo selection and or placement I am all ears. Here is your chance to weigh in on the look.
Once I have the rear grilles, side grilles, side marker lights, and rear lights on the car I can get a better idea of what I want for the final look. Headlights and their covers will be the focus as well and you will see that changes the look up front. Looks a little edgy right now, that will smooth out when the lights are done.
Front air dam with cooling inlets will also be installed up front, picking it up from Carlisle this weekend.
So there you have it for now. I am heading for Carlisle and will be back on the car in the next few days.
Thanks for following along, I appreciate the support and look forward to continuing on this journey.
Best regards,
David Howard

David - Congrats on bringing it home!
For decal placement, I like a clean look so I usually group them together between the front tire and the number on the door. The space behind the rear tire is good for 1 or 2 also. I have seen some cars where it looked like they loaded all the decals into a shotgun and just blasted the side of the car. That can take away from the paint/wrap scheme and the bodylines of the car.

David, Beautiful. On your logo selection, have you given any thought to a charity? In NHRA, Don Shumacher (yes, battery charger family) has a funny car driven by Tommy Johnson Jr. Who's sponsor is "Make a Wish". A very tasteful and deserving organization. Shumacher makes nothing off donations, charity get all. Maybe something of the sort? Just throwing it out there., Mark. I was not completely correct- An amazing woman, Terry Chandler is the money behind the car, plus another DSR car. Google Terry Chandler/Make a Wish, nice story.

Chrome vinyl and gold vinyl don't stretch well because of the metallic materials within the pigments. They are tough to work with and cost more. Compound angles would further impact this metals use.

New update on Logo's. Logo's will be printed, plotted, reverse cut and applied on top of my current vinyl. Same process used today for car dealer Logo's on vehicles. Mine is a layered wrap on wrap with seams, not a fixed one piece sheet. You can see my seams, they are covered with build up layers of film to mask location. From three feet away you think it's paint. Only if you touch it will you discover the difference.

Vinyl Care Information
While I was at Corvettes at Carlisle I took the opportunity to Adam Pitale, Owner and Founder of Adam's Polishes, about the vinyl wrap I have placed on this car. I have spoken to Adam at previous car shows and he has assisted me with my 71 Sparty car so I trust him and his products.
Adam saw pictures of the 72 race car replica and he was impressed with the work and shocked to learn it was a wrap. My purpose for speaking with him was to get his guidance on using his products on the vinyl. He told me the detail spray and his wax products work well on the vinyl and to use the same products I have been using on my painted car, Sparty. Detail spray and waterless wash are my two go-to items for Sparty, so those will be used on the vinyl as well.
I can not comment on other companies products but if you would like to know I would suggest you ask them and get their input.
If you would like more information on Adam's Polishes you can google their company name and get more information.
Thank you and best regards,
David Howard
