I just purchased a 78 anniversary non pace car. It was registered an driving in 09 when the motor went. Owner pulled it and that's as far as it went. Car is a solid California car and since it isn't all that valuable I was considering a swap to an lt4 or an ls1. has anyone done this? I got the car for 800.00 and other than the engine and paint it's pretty good.

This question gets asked about twice a month. Do a little searching, there are many good threads. I recommend doing a lot of research before making the decision or buying anything.

I did find some good threads. None of them answered the question of motor mounts but I found some on ebay with multiple mounting positions. I'm going ahead with the swap and hope I can be done for next summer!
