remove paint from door sticker and paint code plate
PO never learned to color inside the lines and just sprayed everything lol. Soooooo can the sticker be de-colored so I can at least see with letters are and maybe save it, or possible have a new one made from the info on the sticker?
Also just to get other opinions I'm going to remove the paint code plate and just soak it in something to remove the paint but not harm the metal. Just curious what others have used.

the trim tag is aluminum so you can take paint remover and remove the paint. or use lacquer thinner. not sure about the sticker

I would not remove the "plate" (trim tag), once you try and put it back on the next buyer will think it is fake or not from the car. First carefully try and clean it with goof off, if that doesnt work then try some thinner or paint remover. Just tape off the area around it real good and be careful.

Very true. The trim tag used special 'rosette' rivets. Reinstalling using 'pop' rivets may seem like a good idea but DON'T DO IT. Carefully mask off and clean with lacquer thinner.

No the trim tag used your run of the mill pop rivet. But do no remove it. If done it will always leave doubt about the car. Only the vin tag was attached with the special roseit rivets

That sticker doesn't appear to be anything from the factory. Although I can only guess you have a 75-77 so I'm not sure if they had any vertically oriented stickers.

You are correct. My mistake about the trim tag fasteners. Like the VIN tag, it's best to leave them unmolested...clean around it.

Keep in mind for some model years, the trim tag was painted. The tags are stainless steel and notorious for not holding paint well. You should not have any problem getting most of the color coat off of it.
Easy does it.

The sticker on the door is most likely a tire pressure sticker which you can buy new.

Foil tape might pull the paint off when you try to pull it back up. You might want to use blue painter's tape and just wipe the tag off with cloth or swabs dampened with lacquer thinner.
