A man in Florida, in his 80s, calls his son in New York one November day.
The father says to the son, “I hate to tell you, but we’ve got some troubles here in the house. Your mother and I can’t stand each other anymore, and we’re getting a divorce. I’ve had it! I want to live out the rest of my years in peace. I’m telling you now, so you and your sister shouldn’t go into shock later when I move out.”
He hangs up, and the son immediately calls his sister in the Hamptons and tells her the news.
The sister says, “I’ll handle this.”
She calls Florida and says to her father, “Don’t do ANYTHING till we get there! We’ll be there Wednesday night.”
The father agrees, “All right.”
The old man hangs up the phone and hollers to his wife, “Okay it worked, they’re coming for Thanksgiving......Now, what are we going to tell them for Christmas?”

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE

Have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving to all. If you are traveling take your time on the highways and arrive at your home in one piece.

Thanks Wes, hope yours went well.
This was the first year the torch was handed to us. The wife's mom is getting too old for this so the rest decided to have it here. There was probably 30 or so here. Doesn't seem to be much damage now that they're all gone. We're still doing the assessment.

And, for a little 'related' Thanksgiving humo(u)r:

Go here to be able to more easily read the article:

I'm doing cleaning and organizing (under duress, of course). I also found a 'Snoopy' cartoon that was given to me after dragging The Plastic Pig home. I'll see if it will scan; if so I'll post it.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone,
Just wanted to share.
My family and I spent the day in north philly serving thanksgiving dinner at the mission for 55 men in the shelter.
I was blessed and touched by this experience.
Thank you lord.
May everyone have a blessed thanksgiving and keep the giving
In thanksgiving.
