I would like to test fit 18x9.5 wheels.
I currently have 18x8 -12mm offset wheels. Does anyone in the Edmonton Alberta have some 18x9.5 wheels I can use to test fit on the rear of my 78 corvette.
If they fit I will be purchasing a new set for the rear to match the current wheels.
Thanks.

The setup can be calculated relative to the current setup.
Get the tire section width from the tire specs for the tire on the current wheel. And that tire needs to be spec on the 8" wide wheel. Then get the tire section width for the tire on the 9.5" wide wheel. And that tire should be spec on the 9.5" wide wheel. Subtract the narrower tire section width from the wider tire section width and divide by 2. Then check the position of that amount of extra tire width on both inside and outside of the current tire.
That's the new tire position when at the same wheel offset as the current setup. Any amount of inside clearance that is needed (or any amount of outside fender reach that is wanted) is a positive net with -12mm. In other words if 6mm extra inside clearance is needed then the wheel offset should be -12mm + 6mm = -6mm

18x9.5 with 5" backspace (-6MM offset) will fit fine with moving the e-brake bracket.
