Guessin our boy here bought a trailer? Several years ago he needed a car trailered to an NCRS meet, I believe. I just happen to be close friends with a guy that was putting together a load to fill this trailer. I put the two in touch and boom, it all worked out well, for everyone.
Funny, I don't think David knows it was me.....
Last month I posted an offer similar, had no takers.....dragged an empty trailer home (PA) from Florida.

Never have taken a car to a NCRS event, sorry. Might have been someone else.

I wasn't certain about the destination? Did you ever have a car shipped with along with man named Dave Strickland and his group? It was several years ago? My apologies for MY confusion?

I don't think so. I shipped one car to me from a dealership in Ohio in 2008 and later shipped that same car to new owner in Missouri in 2013. I apologize but I just don't recall it being Dave Strickland.

You have the kind of name not easily forgotten. I'd find it hard to believe there's another guy, with the same name, in the same area, also into Corvettes, that needed a trailer? IIRC, the hauling company was Thomas Sunday? But again it was a long time ago, and I was simply a middleman...
Either way, good on you for offering a lift for someone in need.

Thank you very much. I won't be that far North this time but I certainly appreciate the offer. Best regards, David

I do know Thomas Sunday trucking, yes. And yes, I believe my 1977 Orange Coupe, all original, that was shipped from PA to Missouri was taken by one member in their fleet. I loaded it behind a local Walmart and the car got to its new owner in great shape. If you played a role in that then I thank you way too many years later but thanking you now.

Yes, that all sounds familiar! I certainly can understand, how could you know both my screen name here and my real name...
I'm happy to have silently helped another member here. When I saw this post, the memory of the assistance came back to mind.
I too also, believe our paths have already crossed along with having several mutual friends. John T. Go Vette Go, comes to mind quickly, super nice guy! He's truly a genuine man, with a deep heart. I'd wished I had known he was letting his 69 go.....
Good luck with all your projects, I read them constantly!
