corvette america banana panels...
Geesh whats the deal with these? I do not know how old they are as they came with the car but not installed.
The door panel has such a curve in it that it will not go on. one was previously installed now I see why the other was not.
the t top panels are way out of wack also. also the vinyl has delaminated from the backing
Do I just need to wait for a 100 degree day to put them on?
any tips?

The short answer is yes.
It's a common problem with panels that have been sitting around for a while. They tend to take a curl, when sitting around. Short of letting them sit out in the sun, on a hot summer day, your next best solution is to try and warm them up with a hair drier or heat gun.

A 100*F day works well.......along with setting the door panel on saw horses correctly so the vinyl won't get damaged, and adding a 50-80 pound weight to the convex side(inner) for 6-8 hours to remove the hump.....re-glue any vinyl that comes aloose.....install the panel onto the door.
Carefully use a heat gun to de-arch the panel if the 100*F day isn't available....Don't melt the vinyl off the backing board, though!
