The Real Story Vette Hound
Can someone please tell me what the real story for the Corvette web site " VETTE HOUND " is . They have been running Corvette for sale ads for years that everyone can assume that many are scams because the prices are too good to be true . Just one example : How would you like to buy a mint condition body off fully restored numbers matching Black 1961 fuel injected corvette roadster for $15,000. " Give me a dozen " There is example after example just like this one . Most sites like this wouldn't last long but this has been going on with this site for a very long time. Some of the ads seem to be legit but they are scattered among the ones that surely do appear to be scams. Has anyone actually bought from this site or live nearby to know the facts ?

You're right, most of the ads on Vette Hound are scams, and always have been. Unlike eBay and Craigslist, I don't think they care if the ads are real or scams, as long as the "seller" pays for their ad.

Yes, I noticed the same thing, things like a frame off restored 435 hp 69 for 7k, a documented L88 car for 15k, super nice looking 71 for 3k and so on. I reported a lot of these but I don't think it made a difference.

Some seem to be legit and those are the guys that suffer since people don't know which ones to trust other than just using common sense . Some ads are so obvious that you would have to be an idiot to even call.
