Just called up there and the lady at the front mentioned they only work on newer model cars.

What type of problem are you having with the car?

I asked the same question a couple of weeks a go over in the SW Region section and only got a couple responses stating Austin Corvette. Any reason you are not going to use them?

I've had all my work done exclusively by Austin corvette. I think for the most part they are good and honest. Sometimes I think they deal with so many cars that they rush things and you have to go back and get it corrected, which they for the most part do. I wish they knew myself and my car better. Whenever I bring in my ride, I get the feeling it is the first time they've ever seen it.

Not trying to knock these guys, but unless I am 110% satisfied, no harm in looking for other options with different price points. On the flip side, there is potential that the grass might not be greener on the other side...

I would recommend Great Hills Automotive in north Austin. They do all the work on my 69 SBC. Ken Kirby (the owner) is incredibly knowledgeable on older Vettes, and gives very personal service.

They are not the cheapest shop in Austin, but I've always been very pleased with the work they've done on my baby.

Good luck!

Austin Corvette is the only shop that touches my car, other than me. They have always taken care of mine. They do see a number of cars and people.

Have any of you been to Luxury Auto Works? They have a ton of good reviews. The models they work on don't include GM vehicles, but they did say to come on it. Long story short, I purchased a CPO '12 coupe a couple of weeks ago, and it has an issue that's being worked on. I'm interested in a full pre-buy inspection, and yes, I do realize this is backwards.
