Any ideas why either lock button on my 68 don't fit?
One appears original, one I bought from Zip. I've put lots of ***** and handles on gm doors, but these do not seem to fit and I simply can't get the clip over the splined shaft without damage!

FWIW: post and **** have flats on them. You have to align the flats.

Try installing them without the clips in them first. It does take a bit of aligning like easymike said.
