72 Hydroboost Installed (yeah another one)

Nice write up Mooser and I have one really dumb question regarding this. Does the Hydro Boost unit require two seperate feed lines and one return? Also, would you go with a different pump if you had to do it again?
I am doing a new steering system (rack and pinion) and planning ahead on the hydroboost MC.
Thanks

Thanks for the photo! Can't quite read the first two digits of the lower code, but I can look up the 92 GMC 2500 diesel at RockAuto.
The top return is the one from the hydroboost en the bottom from the PS?

Yes, top return I used for HB and bottom is from the steering box. I was mistaken, it's from a 92 3500 gmc.

Hi everybody, I have questions regarding this conversion to ask, please help.
My car is a 71 manual brake. On the firewall, I have 2 studs holding master cylinder and lower, another two bolts to go in two nuts welded on the pedal assembly bracket from inside. Now, I wanna know if you guys used existing lower nuts (or upper studs) installing the hydro unit plate? If lower holes used, then looks like I have to extend the hole more down and hydroboost pedal linkage will be in angle (compare to original rod for mc) Is this OK? Please input.

Hi Mooser, this is a great write up! But the pictures are not displaying. Is there any chance you still have the pics? I know i can figure it out given the detail you typed, but the pics would surr help. ;-)

I hate photobucket! Not as much as the guys here do, but for the same reason. Mooser, do you have pictures of your hose routing down to the pump? Thanks.
Also for you guys on a budget, I got a Hydroboost at a local bone yard for 17.00, made my own mounting plate, hoses were the most coming it at 79.00. Conversion is mostly done for less than 100.00. Now to see if it works.
Thanks again for your great write up Mooser, it really helped out.

Ouch!
Thanks a lot Johnny Shaftoe! See the big red mark on my forehead, rapidly turning black, green and blue? It's a bruise from slamming my forehead with my hand after watching your braided hose cutting video. Why didn't I think of that, or why couldn't I think of that?
It works like a champ. Thanks!
