Default seat belt reinforcement question

I'm getting ready to install new ones on my 73. I have the new reinforcements My question is should they also be glued in place besides the rivets to give it extra strength?

Thanks
Tim

I think the rivets are only there to hold the plate so you don't have to put a wrench under the car to tighten or loosen the bolts. The plate itself pulling against the floor is where the strength comes from.
