Default Questions on replacing oil pan and gasket

My 80 has a crate 350 in it with an aftermarket chrome oil pan which is leaking. I would like to replace the pan and gasket. From doing a search it looks like the one piece Felpro gasket is the one to go with. What would be a good standard oil pan to use?

The one piece gasket is the way to go. Just buy a genuine GM oil pan.

There might not be anything wrong with your oil pan . Someone might have just overtightened a cork gasket and crushed it . Remove it to see if that is the problem and replace the gasket with the one piece Felpro gasket . Use a good silicone sealer and don't over tighten the bolts . Tighten them a little at a time using a cross pattern .
