Right before I turned 50, I told my wife it's either a car or a girlfriend...
She said "get a girlfriend, take the pressure off me".
I said "Ha, it'll be cheaper to get a car"
I got both.
My 74 is my girlfriend.
Let me introduce you to Violet. She's been my girlfriend for 4 years now.

Just turned 47. Got my 1972 LT-1 when I was 36 and kept her for 3 years. Found my prized 1982 CE a few months back and hope to never have to let her go!
Great to see so many of the younger guys getting into these cars and keeping them alive. Although I like to still think of myself as one of the younger guys in the whole classic car scene!!

I'm in the 60-70 age bracket..our '78 is the first car/truck my wife &I have ever owned that ISN'T practical for working folks with five children.
So far it's been an enjoyable task to get the old car roadworthy and all working properly..But we are enjoying it a lot..Great to see many younger folks appreciating/enjoying them AND working on them-driving them..Jim

56 years old. This is my first Corvette which I've owned for 5 years now. I always wanted a chrome bumper C3 coupe and this one seems to keep me out of trouble.

About to turn 67 and have had my '70 coupe for two years. Previously had a '61 and '67 convertible. Both had solid lifter LT1 small blocks that I built myself when I was in my twenties.

50 to 60 But I have had 1 70 1 71 1 72 3 75s 3 76s 2 77s 2 78s 2 79s 1 81 1 84 1 85 and 2 86s bought my first one in 1984 a light blue 77 with dark blue leather. There is at least 1 in the garage at all times. The 2 I have now is a 72 conv that has been around since 1999 and a tacky 76 I just bought and there will be more I'm sure.

21 here, bought mine right after I turned 20.
Before I bought a C3 I didn't realise how many younger guys were into them. Now since I've seen on the forum that it's not really uncommon, everytime I see a new guy I get a little boost of faith in our generation haha. Your car look great btw, awesome job!

I'm 35; my family recently gave me their 79 that they bought in 79 (parent' retired and bought a C7 and need the garage space/ I think knew I wanted the car SOOO badly).
I've got no pictures because my only pictures were on my phone that ended up at the bottom of the pool.... ;-(
My car and I are separated by 1,500 miles currently but I'll get it here in November.
Like someone in the thread already commented, I've also never owned a non-practical car. I've always bought cars based upon practical things like fuel economy, reliability, and fuel economy and I'm SUPER excited, although my wife is horrified, to own an incredibly non-practical car.
I grew up around performance Chevys and have secretly, and not so secretly wanted one for quite a while and I finally got one in a way that my wife just can't refuse; I'm so excited at the prospect!
