Default I am such a lucky boy........

Bought a new C7 last year and my wife and I really enjoy it for road trips. She suggested that I get a stacker that I've always wanted to get - so that we could still park another car under it, I could work on it, etc.

So, about 2 months ago we're driving thru a small town in central UT on the way to a few days of R&R. Passed a nice looking '72 with a sale sign on it. She told me to turn around and look at it. Several CF members were very helpful in evaluating the car prior to purchasing. When we got it here, she suggested that I get the other garage door tucked up to the ceiling and get another lift so we don't have to shovel snow around the cars we use during the winter.

I can never do enough for my wife - she's always looking out for me and others - - - and she encourages my car disease which has turned to vettes. I'm blessed way more than I deserve!!

Looks like you might have room for one more stacker

You are really lucky, not only for having her but also being economically able to afford all those stuffs.

I wish you health and time to enjoy all surrounding you.

An "embarrassment of riches", indeed! Very nice.

Looks like the '72 has some chrome "cherry bomb" mufflers. How do those sound and do you like them?

Very nice collection!! I see you do have drip pans protecting your cars. I also use absorbent blanket or cloth for additional protection. Others might have a better solution and will chime in. C3 calipers will probably leak and the drip pans will not catch the brake fluid. This will damage the car below. Over the years, my drip pans also sagged, making for a poor barrier. I overlap them and that seems to help, but not very pretty.

You must be doing something right, she's a keeper. I also feel lucky as my wife continues to let me indulge in my hobby. She calls them my "girl friends". I've got plans in the works to add another double garage so I can continue my indulgence.

That's funny. My wife actually mentioned that (and I think she was serious). Problem is that her vehicle is taller, and I think the only thing I could stack over it would be my cousins '71 Lotus Europa. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Thank you. The 'new' cherry bombs were on it when I got it, and I'm going to leave them on. They sound great, and my wife likes them too.

Nice cars and wife! The red is a '69, correct? It's a disease, but a fun one - and it's nice when we can enjoy them with family. My wife likes the road trips, and my son is helping me redo the C3.

We dropped our C3 off at our dealer this morning to have the front end rebuild stuff installed (when it comes to removing springs, I'll pay to have it done right) and a customer was asking questions about it. Told me his brother is going to sell his red '69 due to health. Gave me his number. My wife heard all this and told me to call him. I must be dreaming...........

Yes, it's a '69. When I finished installing my lift, I planned to park the '04 CE under so she could pull her van in the garage. She said she didn't want to and preferred to park in the driveway. I said that was good, then I had an extra spot to fill with a C7 I'd been pondering. She said go ahead but then backed out of the deal...for now. Once I get the second garage built, then I'll test the waters again!
