Side mount exhaust for SB 350, What do you have?
I'm looking to buy a side mount exhaust system for my 73 SB, the complete system. What brand did you buy, and how did they fit?
Thanks
Thanks

Went with Doug's, fit good, only had to remove Z bar, copper gaskets good so far. These were headers not factory style.

I have OBX stainless on mine. They fit good and have held up well for a couple years now. I don't think they make them for small blocks anymore though. I'm putting together another car now and I can't seem to find them for small blocks anywhere.

I have the Chinese hooker copies from eBay. Same as OBX. Can't recall the brand but they are on eBay for much less than hookers. About $800. Very good quality polished stainless. I had to put a dimple in the #1 or 2 primary. Which ever one is at the steering box. Can't recall. Other than that they went in very easy with the car on jack stands about 18" off the ground. After running I see a slight gold tone patina at the collector. Have had many positive comments as the patina looks great. Patina only up front in the primary collector area. The remaining is fully polished like new. Have ran them 3000 miles. Wouldn't do it any different. Also installed classic pipes inserts.

I installed Hooker headers and pipes that I acquired at Carlisle at the swap meet 3 years ago. I love the look and sound. I had the car apart when I installed them, if not for that , it would have been a pain in the ***. I also found a set of rocker molding that had already been trimmed to fit these.

The $800 "OBX" on eBay are no longer available for small blocks, as far as I can tell. Sooner or later I'll be shelling out two grand for Billy Boat header/side exhaust. They are double walled to prevent burns. There seems to be less info on their website than before, but I called them several months ago, sounds like a good product.

I used Doug's ceramic headers and side pipes, with max flow mufflers. We unbolted the motor mounts jacked the motor up a little and they bolted right on. No problems with the side pipes either. I just have to cut the rockers moldings and get them back on. It is very loud, but it sounds awesome.

I always like the design of the C2 side pipes, Allen Stainless and headers from Street and Performance. Local muffler shop completed the connection from headers to side pipes.
