Default Made me smile so I Just thought I'd share.

I was on the E@@Y looking for a part and came across this. Just want to say I'm not advertising it but the irony is I was looking for a part for my car and I actually found my car ...... sort of anyway. The 72 on the cover is my car when the PO who had it for 30 years used to show it.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MAY-1987-KEEPIN-039-TRACK-OF-VETTES-Miami-Grand-Prix-Lieberman-039-s-1972-MINT-Coupe-/270051687934?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276
There she is again.

And more recently. I need a better pic with the new tires.

And by the way same paint since 1985.

Hi da,
Seeing that must have been QUITE a surprise for you!!!!
Nice Find!
I used to enjoy Vet Vues quite a bit. It had a slightly different take on playing with Corvettes than the many other more 'national' Corvette magazines had back then.
Regards,
Alan

Paint looks REALLY good in the picture!

Very, very cool story!

Alan, do you know that GS in your avatar? I think I saw it spin out on turn 3 at Road Atlanta way back when! Walter Mitty Challenge, prob early 80's?

I remember the car when Mr. Lieberman owned it, he was very helpful to me when I was having my car restored, he really babied that car, and took very good care of it.
You are doing a great job of maintaining that tradition!

Roy

What happened to the P02's ? White stripe tires always looked better [to me] with P02's. Car looks great either way, though.

Tucked away for now. I will get back to them that's why I stayed with the stripes. According to my build sheet my car had stripes and rally's though.

I actually have a couple of them, even scanned one to my photobucket, I just got a kick out of the irony of looking for a part for my 72 and right on the page is my car

I really remember an article, and my mind may be playing tricks on me, it may have been in Corvette Fever or Vette magazine, the title was similar to the one in the eBay magazine, it was also titled "Mint 72" or possibly 72 mint, I have hundreds of of these magazines in boxes, it would take hours to go through them all, but if I ever come across it, I'll let you know.
I was at a show in Kent, CT and Terry had the car there, with him was a board or box that had the covers of magazines the car had been featured in, I remember meeting him there for the first time, and him telling me all he had done to the car.
Sorry for rambling on..., but there was also another corvette magazine, a real good one, that once a year, would give you an index of all the articles that had been published that year, maybe I'll take a look through those.
Regards
Roy

Really cool. My Corvette was featured as a Johnny Lightning model around 15 years ago. Always makes me smile when I see them for sale on eBay or at a car show.
