G'day Pirate,
Love the car, they say that pride is a sin, but gee whiz, what else could you be!
Could I have some details about the roll bars i.e. where did you get em and anything else you can think of about them.

Regards,
Mark

thanks for the compliments. The roll bar is made by vetteworks out of Washington state. The website is vetteworksonline.net
They make them for tee tops and convertibles. It did help strengthen the subframe and keep the harnesses at the right angles plus it just looks cool

G'day Pirate,
Did you modify the trim panels where the bar attaches to the birdcage or remove them totally?

Yes the plastic panel needs to be modified by cutting a 3 inch rectangle out of it. I bought aftermarket ones and saved the factory panels. It attaches using the same bolt holes that the convertible top bolts to and then there is a bracket that bolts to where the shoulder belt of the seat belts go. I used eyebolts and made for a perfect location to connect my shoulder straps for the five point harness.

Hi p21,
Gotta ask….
Is the chute you pour the $$$$ into bigger on a race boat than on an old Corvette?
Regards,
Alan

Any chance of a photo to show what you have done?

WOW! Looks like you did it right! That restraint system sure makes a big improvement on safety. Congrats on a beautiful project sir! I imagine the engine bay is sharp too. Care to share photos of that?
