Default Exhaust Smell

I used to have an exhaust leak under the drivers side, after resolving the problem, when i drive the car, afterwards my clothes tend to smell like exhaust. Does anyone know how to get rid of this smell in the car, Thank you

You probably still have an exhaust leak, and it's making it's way into the cabin.
Check the heat riser valve on the passenger side manifold, some guys knock them out and don't do anything to plug the holes.....
Thats why my wife gave my corvette to me, she couldn't stand what her clothes smelled like after a drive...great deal for me

if you still can smell the exhaust in the car when driving ,then you still have a leak.If the car still smells from the old leak.I would get a open box and fill it with charcoal biscuits.let sit in the car for a few days.

I agree with the last two posts . You still have exhaust fumes getting into the car . Find it before we are no longer hearing from you. Those fumes are dangerous and trying to tell you something .

I have this too. How do you go about pinpointing it?

Just posting this for future searchers: I found a great way to do it. I hooked up the shop vac to the exhaust pipe, putting the hose on the "blow" side. Blew air into it, then sprayed all of the fittings with soapy water and looked for the places that bubbled up. Worked great!

That is a good idea. Much better then poking around when the engine is running.
