If you had a 1980 4 speed, it only came paired with the L48 195 hp from the factory...the L82 was only available with an automatic....sad, i know.

I would think the 80' is the most sought after of all the late C3's. It has the new body, no ecu and can be modded very easily. Your right, though they don't go for much. I just picked up an 80' in great shape, paid 11K for it. Paint and interior are mint, engine is an L-48 but had the A.I.R system removed, or never had it not sure on that one.

The 80 is my favorite of the late C3's, but the 72' convertible has my heart ...

As others have said, please post your info. ...

Sure appears to be

Put some effort and thought into it may be surprised at the result
If no response over time lower the price til it sells thats its worth in todays times wether its what it "truly" is worth or not. Too many out there now to pay full pop.

You are right, it makes no sense why a Maverick or AMC Pacer for that matter would be bring more money then any Corvette. Like many here I'm addicted to surfing car ads and see more value in Corvettes then many other cars. I the case of that Maverick there were two people who wanted it badly and one won!

Part of this is supply and demand. I see nice C3 Corvettes at every car show, and frequently see them driving around town. But when is the last time you saw a really nice Maverick? Plus, a V8 4spd Maverick "Grabber" is a very nice and fun car to drive.

Same with most older muscle/pony cars.

Agreed, and no offense to the Ford crowd, but who would want a Maverick or Nova or Duster for twice the price of a nice Vette? Yes my blinders are on. I've had experience with the 3 cars listed and was not inspired by them.

I've always liked the '80. Its lines were much cleaner than those of the '78 and '79 plus you got the cornering lamps!

Not a thing wrong or undesireable about your '80 C3..
If you are in Wash state..there's a fellow in Ogden Utah( johnny utah) SEE CURRENT post 'frustrated'>.who is seeking a C3 that is 'AS advertised'..weary of cars not as described..You might contact him and start a dialogue about what he wants..and what you have.4000 original miles? Are you the original owner?Good luck..Jim

Very true esp those first Gen Camaros
Shocked my A body can fetch plenty more than a very nice BBC C3 never would have guessed. Very few wanted these things back then still dont see many now guess theres always someone

Who cares if its worth 1000 though? Its about owning it creating memories taking it out stress relief etc.

Wish values on Vettes Camaros A bodys etc would drop in the toilet so I could have another 67 rs

I worked in a Ford dealership when the Maverick came out and I always thought it was the worst design that Ford ever came out with. They were a toad and a grocery getter. I can't say anything better about the Duster and most of the Nova's with the exception of the 66 and 67 two door hardtop which is a high valued car today.

I paid $2000 for my 2 owner 80 that was stored for 20 years and supposedly has 89,000 miles on it. The reason I got it for cheap is because he lost his storage, his wife said it was junk, and would not allow him to pay storage.

Funny about the Maverick and the AMC Pacer..
Perhaps the cars bought so much because they held some special memories of days(and people) past..
I'd love to have another 1964 Chevy Corvair Monza Spyder..4 speed..It was maroon with black vinyl interior.
Ran like it was on rails once I Put a 2 foot long piece of 75# length of railroad rail in the front..trunk..My childhood sweetheart and I had some great times cruising around in that car..I could put the 15 foot long single belt on in my sleep..Sweetheart-Girlfriend became my wife...and she has been gone now over 35 years. Time flies when you're having fun..Jim

I went on my honeymoon way back when with a 1973 AMC Gremlin. It had a 304cid V8, Chrysler Torqueflite 3-speed, and a Levis jean interior. Loved that car. Unfortunately it did not last very long in Canada's salty winter roads.

THO I am hesitant to post this..When I came back from 7 yrs on my 'senior trip' to SE Asia..
I bought one of the few new cars I ever did..an AMC Pacer sedan..
Blue w/ wood grain stick on lower contact paper...a new AMC pacer in '76....

Drove that bubble car a lot and it took me to the hospital a few times at over 100mph on PHX I- 10...when my second girl, Sunshine had open heart surgery..Probably the cops thought IT WAS AN APPARITION..as I never got stopped. The AMC Pacer sedan was possibly the best 'cloaking car'..ever..

That was before John Denver and Geo Burns did that movie "Oh GOD!.
Worked on that funky car a bit.. only hard part was changing a freeze plug waay back on the head.. Numbered and tagged everything and finally got it done'....all the best, Jim
Y'ALL smile and think back to what you were driving in the 60' s..

Absolutely love my 80 4\speed...have done some restoration work, rebuilt engine(more hp), and some interior work. Runs and looks how "I" like it. That's what matters most.

Just put the pipes on.

Just added new seats

This is exactly why I wanted an 80-82. There was an office building next to my house and there was this very pretty secretary that drove an 80 Corvette. I used to dream about owning that car
