Default Dye primer

Hey guys I forgot to order some CA primer any one had luck using something else ? I hate to pay shipping on one can.

I've dyed parts using the primer and not using the primer, haven't noticed a difference.

Acid Etch primer will do. Comes in spray cans. I'd go with the gray. Most parts stores and paint supply stores carry it.

CA sells SEM products as well with there paint dyes

Try a paint supply place for auto painting shops...they usually carry the SEM stuff, primers, body fasteners, bondo, sanding pads....a to z in my PPG Paint Store. I used a bottle of softening agent on some plastic pieces I painted once. It will give your primer a bite and keep it from flaking off if scuffed.
