Pulleys for my my big block.
I am putting a 502 into my 72 and need pulleys for it. I picked up the original alt and power steering brackets for it and just need pulleys. There is no a/c. Which pulleys to use and are there aftermarket ones I can use.

I used the set-up from corvette america on one car. The only problem was the bracket that attaches to the exhaust manifold stud and to the front of the head-it wasn't bent quite enough at the stud, so I had to tweak it.

There are different pulleys listed. I need to know which ones. I also am using the power steering pump from the 350 that was in the car. Will that pulley work with the BB pulleys.

Chevy figured this out for you in 70 with the 454 option. Paragon makes all the stuff you need in house from GM tooling. take the guess work out of it all

You didn't answer the question. I know chevy figured this out and I know about Paragon and that they take all the guess work out of it. I posted this thread because I went to all the catalogues and saw the pulleys.
I wanted to see what other people have used.

Another vote for the March setup.

I have the high water flow pulleys and GM Type 2 remote reservoir PS pump. Water pump is an Edelbrock aluminum short water pump and alternator is a 140 amp 12SI (electric fans, fuel pump, EFI). Just had to machine the alternator pulley a little for nut clearance since the 12SI shaft was a little too short.

Better shot of the March system I put on my big block. As I am far from stock, I wanted a different look for my car. Using the Saginaw PS Pump, I hard mounted it to the mounting bracket and adjust tension on the bar connecting the alternator to the block. At first I was concerned the PS pump would slip, but no issues yet. Good luck.

Without A/C, use the two groove pulley-one for the helper belt and one for the P/S belt. The problem is the size of the helper belt. Without a tensioner you have to try different belt sizes and widths to obtain the best fit. I had to loosen the W/P pulley so that it hung down, slipped the belt on the pulley and then tighten the W/P bolts to get the proper size and tension. I can't remember what belt that I used, but I do remember each of my two BBCs had different sizes- one had GM pulleys and the other aftermarket.

I was looking at that same set up to put on my original 427 block ,so I emailed the guys . Answer came back "I'm sure it will fit , but if not you can just return it " Not real practical from where I am !
Anyway just the other day I got hold of their catalogue and on nearly every page it says "NOT for Corvette" .
