Motor, Electrical and vacuum
I bought a 77 that had been sitting for quite a while. I got it running but there are some electrical and vacuum issues. If I was planning on doing some motor work should I do that before or after I get the other issues solved?

It is a 'toss up'. Not knowing what you mean by...'motor work'....I can not advise you in what step to take next without knowing.

Seems like an engine rebuild....which I guess I would do and then address all other problems when they arise.

Honestly....the vacuum leak issues can be fairly easily found. and this can be done once the new engine is broke in and running where the accessory vacuum system can be capped off and not be used. Then once the engine is tuned and running great....begin adding vacuum hoses and see when you add vacuum hoses into the system the engine starts to buck and fart and act up...that will direct them to where to investigate further.
Two different ways of looking at it....that is for sure.

Yeh, either way could work. I have my vacuum systems disconnected at the moment - installed a fresh engine and I haven't been through them yet. I don't plan to reconnect the headlights (I'll convert to electric) and have a complete set of new vac hoses for the aircon/heater to install before I reconnect it - I currently don't have heater core connected or aircon compressor installed anyway.
