Delphi 600 power steering box replaces cylinder?
I'm looking into replacing some of the old and awful parts in the power steering on my '75 and improve a bit it if at all possible.
I found the Borgeson power steering kit (#999032) quite a palatable option but couldn't find any mounting diagrams and was wondering about the Delphi steering box. Does it replace the PS valve and PS Cylinder?

Yes with the Delphi there is no PS valve or cylinder just a pump and the box,

Thanks, that looks like a much cleaner installation and won't be much more money than changing the valve, rebuilding the cylinder and replacing all the hoses.

Where are you going to get the rag joint from and the hoses. And the end for the center link. Add those to the price of the Delphi box and it's the same as the Borgenson.

I'm planning on getting the whole Borgeson power steering kit (part #999032) instead of rebuilding the standard P/S system.
BTW, should I get any other parts on top of Borgeson kit? I think that the current pump should work fine so not looking into changing that.

Dont know about a qualified technician but it took me about 8 hours at home. Had to buy a few special tools I didnt have like a pitman arm puller, torsion wrench and socket for the pitman arm nut. Was a messy job with flushing the old power steering fluid out of the original power steering pump but strait forward enough to do.

As we speak, my '75 is at a qualified GM garage , who has the the tools and hopefuly the knowledge to install. ( IO am hoping for 2-4 hours) Currently replacing a power steering unit with the Borgenson unit.
I will keep you informed.
