Thoughts on a 68 vs 69-72

I wouldn't call it a plain Jane . Black is beautiful. I had one just like it . Sold it to a guy in Ohio and the poor thing got stolen out of his garage . He never got it back.

I dig the ignition on the dash so much i want to install a 68
Dash pad on my drivers side with dash ignition,
However,
I guess i will also have the ign on the column too as i want tilt tele,
68 got it right and safer with 4 stop/turn lamps, that mod i plan to also do on my 69,
I almost bought that black thunder 68 a member on here had but i thought tge amount of rust was too much, in hindsight it was a better car than my 69

I like the teak wheel, and the rear tail and backup light configuration on the 68. Looks nice with no Stingray script and no side vent covers. But what I like more about my 69 is that every part is readily available, often from multiple vendors which keeps cost down for me as I drive and maintain the car.

Lost it
Well I had the inspection teed up for tomorrow, car is in another state, and the seller sold it without showing me the bid. Pretty bummed out over it. Car looked reasonably priced.... this search is brutal. Back to the searching board.

Sorry to hear that! Just wasn't meant to be! You'll find the one for you.

What's funny when the 69's came out people liked the ignition on the steering column because it looked more modern but what goes around comes around and with more popularity the second time .

Drifting
The car was pretty rough when I got it. I gave it to my brother-in-law to replace the top, install weatherstrips and basically finish the car.
I am easily $50K into it... The paint is flawless and might be $15K today... Every panel was reworked; the gaps a perfect.
It's pretty much stock. As I get older, this is how I like 'em.

Guys I'm sorry, but I think the Stingray badge on the side is cool as hell, ....Its like my Gibson guitar, sure there are other great guitars out there , but the Gibson script is a big selling point.
