Selling cars needing "easy' fixes

The easy work is putting on all new parts that nuts thread easily, and so on. Also easy is laying out the credit card to buy a few hundred more parts.
However, the easy part takes 5 times as long and 20 times as expensive as the hard part.
I like it when you see shows or try to sell something and the buyer tries to lowball bid you by saying "cash money" or "cash in hand right now".
I see this happen on fast n loud, auction hunter shows etc.
If you are coming to my house, why would you think paying with cash would lower the price? I sure am the hell not accepting a personal check or a credit card from a complete stranger.

Now financing is, as either they get a cut for they lay all the burden for the deadbeat on the financial institute when the buyer reneges on the payments.
And as to private sellers, I'm with you. Cash only. Of course, I have done some wire transfers but had the bank involved for the whole ride so I could be sure it was safe.

Solid frame or "surface rust only"=lots of friggin rust just cant fit your fist through it yet
most irritiating have to say is the "just needs freon" bet half really believe it. Told one guy last yr if he could fill it up Id pay him lol
The so called rebuilt motors that arent, or partially painted
Cars with no paperwork. Huh?
Best of all:
Claiming 70k is low miles let alone 150k ugh.

Vehicle pictured in ad is not the actual car for sale - its a picture of what the car will look like when its finished, car is currently disassembled and paint stripped ready for your personal touch.

Ads where the seller pushes they know what they have and how much its worth, of course their price is high even for perfect pristine example and theirs is near basketcase.

I get a kick from the ads that say "Selling because I need the space"
But then at the end of the ad it says "Will trade for a pickup, 21 ft midcabin ect."
Oh, (as someone noted earlier) least we over look - the much abused term "Rare."
Example: "Very rare 1976, auto, a/c, runs, 93,000 miles"
I had to find out what was so "rare" and emailed the seller.
[Can you please tell me what makes your '76 Corvette "rare?"]
Seller - {The low miles. It's very rare to find any 40 year old car with less than 2400 miles per year}
Oh my!

I love when they say " Ready for Restoration " What do you have to do to get it ready for restoration ? Pull it out of the barn ?

This one just popped up, apparently brakes and paint and for $4000 you're good to go!

Thank you all. I've been in a surly mood all night. I laughed out loud many times.

My rule of thumb is everything I can afford needs to be completely redone despite claims of high quality. Even the few high dollar cars I bought were loaded with poor workmanship or failures to replace questionable parts. I do all my own work except machine shop engine work and plating and can spend a entire day or more repairing/restoring small sub-assemblies. Not shelling out the cash for the needed parts to make things right is never an option. This is not typical, maybe for a few things but not an entire car. When it comes to buying old cars, better to assume you're being lied to on just about everything. People like it or not are pretty dishonest, especially about things that involve money.

Here in SC, many ads say, "I'd drive it to California today." I always know when I see that bit of feigned confidence to pass on it and go to the next ad. You should probably do the same. That is, unless you live in California, and, well, then you're probably ok.

Here's a couple:
"Appraised 1 year ago for $60,000, asking $35,000"
"Ask your wife before wasting my time"
Okay the last one is good advice.
