Default 1973 vent actuators a/c

Hi again. Latest trouble for me. I have the rh dash out and I see a hose (black w orange stripe) plugged over towards side vent. This vent moves freely but no actuator? I take it there should be one? Anyone have a picture and is this for the vent setting control. Just on this side.
Other item I have is outside in wiper bay on rh side I see a door that is part way open. It is flimsy material but it should have an actuator as well? Does this go to the vent inside? I read on the a/c forums here that there is some kind of actuator to the heater hose to turn off when a/c on? I can't seem to locate it?

Gary

any help appreciated

heres a link to a diagram of the vacuum components of the ac system. You may want to consider a copy of the 1973 Chassis Service manual
