FS: BB Hooker Side Pipe Headers
For Sale:
These are chrome BB Hooker side pipe headers. 2 1/4" primaries, 4" collector. They have the normal discoloring and some light rust in areas that'll never be seen once they're on. Currently they have some turnouts spot welded and clamped and they also have evacuation tubes welded in. Once on they do look good but they aren't perfect.
$600 O.B.O. + shipping (or pickup in Houston)
Thanks,

Sent a ?. But would just really like to know why you are going to sell them? And which direction do you think you are going to go? I am planning a SB to BB swap on my 73.
Thank You in Advance.

Bill, I answered your PM but I'll also post here for any others that are interested.
These headers came with my new engine but I never intended on using them. I'm looking at 3 things to complete this build: max horsepower, very tight budget, and keeping the wife happy.
Although the side pipe look is killer, they are actually more restrictive than a nice 3" system with good flowing mufflers in the traditional exhaust setup.
I would still need the STS baffles and pipes to complete the side pipes but if I sell the side pipe headers I can do a traditional exhaust MUCH cheaper.
It's not a matter of if but WHEN my wife would burn her leg on the pipes and that'd be the last time she would probably ever ride with me. I never really liked the looks of the shields, I think the pipes look better naked.
Here's a pic of the headers on the car they came off of:

Hey T,
Several of the guys who have bought stuff from me lately had their own UPS shipping #. I mailed my Hookers from a UPS store that boxed them both together by wrapping them and finished filling the box with ghost poo-poo. UPS had a perfect box on hand.

P,
You had me at ghost poo-poo. I'm still laughing!!!
If it's that easy then if anybody wants them shipped I'll go that route. I'll edit the original post.
