I have a complete running Vintage Long block available for sale or trade. It is a very early 1972 Corvette 454 Block Cast # 3999289. The casting date is May 29th, 71. Good for a 72 454 Corvette built until the 3rd week of November 1971.

The engine came out of my 69 Corvette. It is just not the correct engine for the car, but was a nice running long block when pulled. The intake is an LS-6 intake which is a very rare aluminum square port single four barrel intake. Only 188 1971 Corvettes were equipped with the LS-6 intake. It is not correct for the 1970 cast # 3964290 1970 390horse 454 oval port heads... but interestingly enough it ran fine.

The engine will need a rear main seal and quite possibly a throw-out bearing. (not to mention the heads, and or intake should be swapped out to match oval to oval, or square to square)

3999.99 for the complete long block or best offer. Will trade for the correct 3963512 block for my Dec 29, 69 Vette and or a complete tri-power set-up.
