Default Wanted: 1968 427/390 hp 439 short block

I am looking for a 1968 427/390 hp short block. I can use either a 2 or 4 bolt main. Bare block or short block is fine, I do not need the cylinder heads.

Hi

In 68, there where 2 different blocks in use, early version till about February 68 build date, late version as of then.

Do you want the early one 321 casting or late 439 casting ?

Günther

Just saw that you have more threads with more info:

Date stamp of C, D or E will work. hence late version 439 casting.

I'll have a complete, balanced rotating assembly after racing season is over if you'll wait that long. Whole assembly will have about 130 runs on it.
Forged crank, GM rods with CP forged pistons.
Email me if interested.

Hi

The early 68 blocks casting 321 go more expensive than the late version .
I would never buy the expensive wrong early one if the late version is what fits to your cars build date.

I'm interested. I have an early BB that needs a date code around October 67.
