Here is a short video of my 77 coupe with the engine I just pulled and am offering for sale. Engine was not original and I don't know how old it is or how many miles it had on it, but it ran well and had a nice lope. Let me know if you have any iterest, prices were posted previously and all are negotiable.

Best regards,

David Howard

Exhaust manifolds and tranmission are now sold. Engine as described above with Edelbrock carb, intake, water pump, fuel pump, starter, and aluminum valve covers can be had for $250 if you come and pick it up.
At this price it is almost a better deal for me to take it to the local junk yard and sell it for steel, but would rather see it used on a car and get some good service.
Let me know if you have any interest.
Thanks and best regards,
David

David I can't believe nobody has jumped on this engine. I would think the valve covers and intake alone are more than what you are asking

The economy is very tough now and people are holding on to their hard earned dollars. It ran well for me, just not stock enough I guess for most Corvette owners. Wonder if there is a Camaro forum, they might like an original 69 Camaro block...now theirs an idea.
Thanks for helping me think it through.

David,

Can you post the rest of the numbers on that motor...date code, heads, any stampings on the pad.

I would think you could sell it quick on a Camaro forum if it proves to be a 69.

I sure can when I return from travel, unfortunately heading to Europe in about 15 minutes and will not return for a week. I have pictures of and the numbers off the engine. With the engine out of the car I can get numbers from wherever, just need time to look them up and write them down, photograph them as well. Engine is out of the car now. I asked for help on the Forum earlier to see what the engine numbers meant before I elected to pull it out, I can run that down as well.
Thanks for your help.

Everyone - David (77 SLEEPER) asked me to post a note to this thread:

He is currently out of the country - left this morning. He is very interested in selling these parts but is not able to access the forum or communicate with buyers.

He will answer all replies when he returns the end of next week.

Thanks for looking & understanding.

John

Thank you John for your help and for posting on my behalf, I appreciate it. I landed back in the US last night and I am time adjusting now. I apologize for posting items for sale prior to departing the country and causing confusion with two instant messages and two postings. I have to work today but promise tomorrow (Saturday) to sort out the order of the inquiries and see who committed to buy what first. I apologize for this but they all came in within four hours of one another and caught me heading for a plane. I will sort it out and respond to each and all.

For the record. I live in Northhampton County, as John said, and my zip code is 18045.

I currently do not own a truck or a vehichle that can move the engine so please understand the reason for asking buyers to pick it up is that I can lift it up and put it in a vehicle, and I have it on a crate and we can bolt it down to the crate, but I have no way of transporting it.

Shipping and transporting adds costs to my end, that is another reason I have tried to price the parts low enough to be worth a person to come and get it.

Having said that, I will sort out the requests and will respond by tomorrow.

Thank you for your interest and have a good day.

Best regards,

77Sleeper
David

PS: Thanks again John, I owe you.

The block has been machined so any sign of a VIN is long gone. Casting on the drivers side is GM 3982388. Engine castings include K2098. On the passenger side you see the numbers cast T21 CONV 1. And stamped on the edge of the housing I think I read RM 124423 but I am not certain.

Where would I locate the head numbers you referred too? I have the valve covers off the car but not certain exactly where to locate them. Be glad to get them, just need a little guidance.
Thanks for your help.

Okay, time issue sorted out, my apologies for making anyone wait. I had received a PM from a gentleman in Ohio prior to any interest posted here so I have written to him to see if he can come and pick up the parts. If he can and makes payment then the engine and parts will be sold. If he does not want them now or if he cannot come and get them then I will take the next person in line and see if we can make a deal. I hope to know shortly.

I will post again as soon as I can.

Also, details, but the sale of the transmission fell through so the TH350 is also available again if anyone knows anyone wanting it as well.

Thanks again.

This is getting fun. The engine is sitting on an engine crate that my new engine came in on but I can pick it up off to locate other numbers if I get tips where to look.

Best regards,

David

Whole engine. That means block, HEI Distributor (installed), Edelbrock Performer Intake (installed), Edelbrock 600cfm Carburator (removed), aluminum valve covers (installed), starter (installed), with original water pump (removed). $450. If you come and pick it up $400 complete. I'll throw in the air cleaner assembly as well.

You were number two and number one didn't buy the car and doesn't need the engine now, so you are first if interested.

Let me know when you can.
