Default Whole lot of '77 parts possibly

Okay, I'm trying not to break any rules here...

I've recently stumbled across a guy who has spent the last 5 years and a little over $18,000 restoring his '77 vette. He was scammed one too many times (bad engine experience) and has decided to turn his very beautiful black 77 into a drag car....and is wanting to sell all of his "old crp" for the lumpsum of $3500. I have a '79 and would like the engine parts, the rest I'll probably sell. I'm wondering if I can make my money back or if I'm going to lose out here. A partial list includes:

Complete used wiring harness
Full replacement A/C system (everything from the compressor to the switches, new heater box)
his original heater box (no A/C car, racers like this thing?)
both window motors
all the interior pieces except the door panels (all the plastic is in good to excellent condition)
the driver's gauge cluster (Tach and Speedo-brand new, no scratches or fading at all)
both seats
set of good condition seatbelts
parking brake handle
4 brand new tires (less than 5 miles on them...about 1.5 years old)
4 alloy rally wheels with center caps (from an '81, I believe he had them polished)
Original center gauge cluster
One pair of Edelbrock cylinder heads (64cc, angle plug) <--that's what I want.

this is a partial list, but the rest of the stuff is small interior stuff like *****, etc. Does anyone here think this is a good buy? I have until Saturday to decide then he's gonna start ebaying them separately

Default parts

Interested in tires and full a/c system. Can you tell me more on it. Is it off of the 77 or aftermarket?

The tires I'll have more info on later today, I was told he paid somewhere around $155 each for them. The A/C system as I understood was an aftermarket system for the '77 that he bought and had installed, the car sat for 6 months waiting for an engine that never happened and so then everything was pulled out. He also has the original heater box (car was a no A/C). I will have pics of everything this evening if he can meet me again.

I can ask if it comes with the rest of the parts. I didn't see it, but he has more of his stuff in storage elsewhere that he's willing to throw in.

**Update** 7/22/09
No hood insulation, didn't come on the car.

Default 2 quick pics of the car

The owner was kind enough to send me a few photos of the car before he tore it down (I know, I can't believe he did it either). These are from about 6 months ago so you can see the general condition of the car.

Exterior:

I would be interested in the door panels, depending on shape and price. Also rear storage assembly.

Any leftover interior bits as I have only seat frames at present. Especially interested in instrument bezels and a steering column. Driver grade OK and preferred!
