LS6/LS7 Holley Carb
Wanting to purchase the correct Holley carb for a 70-72 LS7 motor I'm building. Since the LS7 was only sold as a crate motor, and possibly without a carb, was the LS6 carb used if wanting to stay all GM? The following is the information I have gathered and still trying to sort out.
850 CFM / Dual pump / Center pivot pump
Model# 4150
Part# 3967487 / 3986195 / 3999225 / 3967477
List# 4493/4803/4803-1
Metering block stamp R4559A / R4493A / R4493-1A
Primary 6333 / 6808
Secondary 4519
The numbers in bold are what I believe to be original and correct. I also read that the LS6 Chevelle used the same carb but different part numbers. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Just buy the 780cfm 3310-1 that I am selling. You really won't find a closer carb to what came on the LS-6, and it is easier to adjust. You'll pay big bucks for a factory correct carb that will only be seen when the air cleaner is off. If your motor is not factory correct to your car what's the use?

The 3310 has a completely different auto choke system and requires a heat tube from the exhaust manifold to work properly. Holley made and sold a lot of over the counter LIST-3418 service carbs, rated at 850 CFM used on L-88s in 1967. They show up used quite often and can be bought fairly cheap. They should adapt to your application well.

Leels7,
I have an original '71 LS6 carburetor. It is a 4150 model, stamped on the air horn 4803 and uses primary metering block 6333 and secondary metering block 4519. This is what the LS6 Corvettes used.

I was talking about the LS-6 carb not the L-88, and yes it does have the hot air choke on it, but if your running an LS-6 intake your home free. I just pulled in the drive with this carb on my car on a Torker II intake that has no choke provision. I just have the choke wired open, runs great. I'll take $150 for it.
