Default 1970 454 Big Block

I have a 1970 LS4 454 for sale. From the research I did this is a 345HP motor out of a full size car.

The 2-bolt main block and heads have been cleaned and pressure tested. The cylinders are .030 over right now and need to be punched another .030. The heads are unmolested but need to be gone through. The crank is .010 under on the main and rod journals and need to be taken down another .010. The intakes heat shield came off during the cleaning process and would need to be replaced.

It appears the crank is a 1974 but I cannot confirm it. Maybe someone here can let me know.

Here are the casting numbers and dates:

Block: 3963512 D.7.70
Heads: 3964290 C.4.70/C.5.70
Crank: 353039 I or L.24.4
Intake: 3955287 D.15.70

$1700 for everything or $500 for the heads intake and crank.

Feel free to email me for more information and pictures.

Thanks, Kurt

I can deliver to the Chicago MCACN show in November.

If you don't get any good offers here, post it on Team Chevelle, there should be quite a few guys there interested in a 512 block and heads with '70 casting date!

Gary, thanks for the advise but I actually have it on Team Chevelle, Team Camaro and Team Nova...I must be asking too much or this is what's happened to the economy. Although I didn't think that the price was that much compared to what I have seen sell on eBay. I have seen these go for as much as $1500 for just the block.

I think your price is very fair, hang in there. I'll see what I can scare up at a few other sites, I can't believe it's not gone by now.

Block is sold pending payment.

454 cast crank is still available. .020/.020. I just spent $100 having it turned. Thats after I spent $40 to have it polished. I have all the receipts for the work done. It does still have a few pits but very light. It's not an issue. Ready to install.

$200
