Default Big Block & Small Block Chevy Parts Vintage Parts

I have a 1970 402 CE warranty 4 bolt main block for sale. The casting number is 3969854 block cast H.30.9 (August 30, 1969).

What makes this block so rare is that it has two stamps. It was originally stamped T0916KE. T=Tonawanda, 09=September, 16=sixteen day and KE is a 1969 Camaro with a 396/375hp L89 Aluminum head motor with a RPO MA6 dual disk clutch. Chevrolet ended up NEVER building a 1969 Camaro with dual disk clutch. This block was then changed to a CE block at Tonawanda. It also has T099 (Sept. 1969) stamped down by the starter bolt holes.

It is currently bored .040 over. This block has been inspected for cracks and the cylinders have been sonic checked.

This is a true L78/L89 warranty block and is very, rare. It's the real deal and NOT a restamp. It's one of a kind. This block has been discussed on Team Camaro.

Sorry, no tach drive distributors. The numbers are mainly for small block cars....283, 327.
