FS: 2 Quadrajets numbered 7040202.
I have two Quadrajets for sale. Both are stamped 7040202.
Both of these carburetors were put on the car to test. The car started right away with both carbs. They probably could use a rebuild or at least a good tuning. The Carter carb leaked fuel from the intake/filter housing. I tried everything to seal it including heli- coiling with no luck. I needed the carb badly at the time so I removed the internal filter and sealed the fitting with JB weld. It has worked sense with an external filter. Neither of the carburetors have a choke pull-off.
I would like $50.00 for each plus shipping.
I will ship anywhere in the lower 48 with the USPS’s “If it fits, it ships”, about $13.00.

sorry to be off subject matter here, but, couldnt help but notice your avatar. Who did you fly with? I was a crewchief/doorgunner with the 129th assault helicopter company( bulldogs/cobras) and the 60th ahc (ghostriders) in Nam, 71/72.

Didn’t fly in Vietnam, but was there also in 1971-1972. I enlisted in 1970, but didn’t go to flight school until 1975. After graduation I was posted to Fort Bragg. The funny thing is, I was assigned as a UH-1H pilot with the 129th Aslt Hel Co. They had just given up their “G” model Cobras a few months before I got there. The 129th was then made up of two platoons of Hueys. I went to the Cobra course in 1980 and flew them for the rest of my career. I retired in 1994. Rated in AH-1G,Q,R,S,E,P and F’s.

According to the information I have looked at they are both correct for a 1970 350/300 Vette. Both units were placed on my engine and the engine started and idled. As stated, they both need to be tuned or rebuilt. Neither carb has a choke pull-off. The Carter has had the fuel inlet filter removed and threads sealed.
