Default 1972 454 4 bolt main bare block
Casting number 3999289. Date code O 6 72. Bored .030 over. 30,00 miles on it. The rings got washed down, so they never seated. The bore needs honing.
Anyone interested? $400

I have never heard of an "O" Dated block.
Can you tell me more?
Can you tell me what is on the front pad?

Upon closer inspection, the date code is D 6 73. The block has no stamping on the pad. It must have been surfaced. I am going to repost this with the correct info.
