Default WTB Vortec intake and Vortec Valve covers.

Not looking for bling, just functional.
Anyone got a used intake and set of valve covers ( with bolts if possible ) for use with iron Vortec heads?

Doing a budget build on my 79 L82 and as Im unsure of what direction I want to take, dont want to spend the earth.

Intake wise, I have been looking at the Edelbrock 2116 or 7116 and also the Professional Products Cyclone 52007. Anyone used one and then upgraded to something better?

Perhaps if you bought 2nd hand heads they came with the original valve covers? That would be fine with me.

Let me know what you have.
TIA.

These are cheap: eBay Link

I think any centerbolt valve cover will fit the Vortec heads, but you will want to double check that.

Now that is cheap Bet they wouldnt seal very well...they look very thin and flimsy.
I once bought a chrome dress up kit that valve covers like that...ended up using them as plant pots! lol.

Thanks for the heads up, appreciate it.
