that's a shame it's on friday. wish it was on the 19th instead. i'll be making my way up to charlotte for the week on the 18th and probably won't get into town until mid to later afternoon. hope you all find some good stuff there.

I'm up in the air about this. It's a long drive from the coast. I can think of some things I could sorta use, but not sure it'd be worth the 7+hr drive. If I was in the Charlotte area, I wouldn't miss.

I called them up. He said that the order of parts/years being auction are random, starting from one side of the room and moving to the other side. Sounds like a good time. I'll be there.

Thanks for posting this info. I emailed them this morning asking what the order of sale would be. Sure would have been nice to go by generation.

no problem. He also said that they aren't bundling anything unless there isn't much interest for the parts. So if you wanted one steering column you don't have to buy 20 of them.

It was good. Sooooo many parts and only around 15 people there. There were about 3 big dealers that were just buying up everything under the sun. It was incredibly annoying. The red hard top went for I think $450, the white one went for $375, and the other last one went for $525. For a dealer, it was like the Meccas of corvette parts. I saw a whole pallet full of ac/heat ducts (maybe 50 pieces) go for $5. All in all it was amazing and dirt cheap but allot of stuff was very very used. I don't think one item in there wen't into the $600's. I am not sure but I think the most pricy item was a 67 or 68 soft top frame that was all messed up but the frame was good and it went for around $550.

I was on my way to this auction but had to work on getting a contract signed for a large customer so ended up missing it. I hate when work gets in the way of having fun working on my vette
