WTB: 7042203 Quadrajet carburetor wanted for a 11/71 Build date Corvette
I'm looking to buy an original Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor model# 7042203 for my 1972 Corvette that has a 11/71 build date, so anything between June 1971 and October 1971 would be fine. Please send pictures and price. Condition doesn't matter as long as it's not one of those commercially rebuilt units like I already have. Thanks!! Joe

Do you still have a functional, rebuildable 7042203 Q-jet for sale? I've got a '72 coupe with the base 350 and M20 wide ratio trans, but the current carb is for a '73 with auto trans. Although my current carb works very well, I'd like to replace it with the correct carb. If possible, the date code on the carb should be between January 1972 and May 1972. Thanks

Hi, I too am still looking for a late-1971 dated 7042203 Q-Jet. PLMK if you or ANYONE OUT THERE HAS ONE! Thank you!!
FYI... I did see a couple 7042203 Q-Jets on eBay recently that I think were dated February 1972 (A Carter built Q-Jet dated B2) and March 1972 "C2". You might want to look at these and see if either of them would be a good candidate for rebuilding. Just make sure if you buy one that they haven't been "commercially rebuilt" at some point in their past!! Good luck in your searching!!
I've been looking for nearly 2 years now for a properly dated 7042203 for my 72 coupe that was built 11/9/71. I did find a 7042203 service replacement Q-Jet last year that I had rebuilt, so until i get lucky and I find a June-October 1971 dated 7042203, I'm happy!
