Default WTB: Engine Cooling Fan Temperature Sensor for 1982

Seems this part, with the two pins, is becoming hard to find. Ecklers lists as "Temporarily Discontinued?" Wondering WTH that means?
Does anyone have a line on one of these? My auxiliary electric cooling fan runs all the time, but is not supposed to come on until the coolant hits around 200 degrees. I thought this would be the first place to start.
Thanks. Dave

Well, made the trip to Auto Zone - they do not have the part in their catalog. They had the coolant temperature sensor but they did not have the cooling fan temperature sensor. It has two prong blades on it to hook up to the harness which controls the aux fan. If anyone has any ideas (part number?) I am wide open. Our normal trusty C3 vendor partners have seemingly dropped the ball on this one.

I know this may be a stupid question, but have you tried a GM dealer ?
There's even one as a sponsor at this site . GMPartsHouse, I believe ?
I say this b/c just recently, I was able to obtain a 80 model clutch pedal rubber pad- got it in , in 2 days. Would have thought they were gonna laugh me out of the dealership !
Just a thought.
