WTB 68-69 Front Bumper
I'm looking for a nice straight 68-69 front bumper either re-chromed or a very good core. I'll consider 70-72 as well. Please, I only want an original bumper, NO repops.
Thanks

Still looking...
Any leads are appreciated as it's time to start working on my little project again and I'd like to get this part of it out of the way.

Hey Howard
How's it going Hope all is well
Greg is located in Calgary alberta. Be real nice to him he's a BCNCRS member and needs it for his cortez silver 69 which we hope to judge very soon. So he needs a correct 68 69 front bumper.
Thanks, Grant

Hi e,
Have you considered contacting rvzio about his 'donor' car's bumper?

Hi Greg,
I think the reproduction bumpers from Paragon are quite nice.
The possible trouble arises when you go to fit it.
There's really not a lot you can do to get a TFP fit if the body is painted and the chrome on the bumper is new.
This is why you see some nice bumpers with a pretty startling fit somewhere.
Hopefully you'll be lucky!

Alan

Greg,
Check out this link.

I have picked up quite a few items from Steve over the last few years. Hard to get in touch with, but a good guy, with tons of parts.
Good Luck.

Yes, thanks. I saw that last week but once I sent him some more detailed questions he failed to get back to me on it. Maybe he is just too busy or maybe it's not as nice as the ad says and he doesn't want to take the chance of my returning it.

Hi Alan,
What does TFP mean?
The potential of having a repop not fit my freshly painted body is partially why I'm reluctant to get one and would prefer an original and undamaged one. It may still take some fitting but at least it would be minimal.

Hi Greg,
I certainly understand your desire to have an original!
TFP…. typical of factory production.
Considering each front clip was assembled and finished individually the front bumpers typically fit surprisingly well.

Alan

Greg,
I picked up a very nice original 69 bumper from him, not a rechromed bumper. He may still have originals that you can have rechromed on your own. You can also call Greg, his number is listed in the ebay ad as well. You are more apt to connect with Greg.
Just trying to help. They are located in CA. May also try big city corvettes in CA.

The 70-72 bumper has an extra extension on the bracket that holds the bumperette. 68/69 look like an "L" and the 70-72 look like a "Z". The extra piece on the extension is where one of the front grill bolts go.
