Not sure what the proper name is for it but it mounts to the lower fender and then the lower valance panel mounts to it. I have included a picture of the pass side so maybe someone will know its actual name or if it is available somewhere. Thanks

ironically, I just picked up both the LH and RH reinforcement straps for my 78 from Paragon but it cost me $23.00 but not delivery since I was at Carlisle. These straps are the same from 1975-79 but don't forget to get the pop rivets that secure them to the fiberglass fender. I also had to get a center reinforcement. I am replacing all metal reinforcements so that spoiler will be correct and nut bubbied up.
