WTB Original Headlight warning switch
Wanted
Original (used if tested or new) headlight warning switch.
I have replaced two repro switches in the past month due to failure. I think they are garbage.

Hi Gary,
If the originals don't have the threaded snout broken off the main body they're pretty easy to take apart and clean up.
I had one which worked intermittently and seemed to be able to fix it.
Worth a try?
Regards,
Alan

My original broke off where the threaded part attched. I tried to epoxy it back together but it only held for a few weeks.

Hi Gary,
Too bad!
The way the threaded snout is cast to only half the body makes it the weak point.
I guess the engineer never even considered that people would still expect it to work 45 years in the future!

I have purchased from a plastic fabrication company here in Detroit, adhesive made specifically for ABS plastic which I believe this part is. If it is a clean break, send it to me and I will bond the pieces with this adhesive (PM me for my address). I have had great success with this stuff on other parts. It's worth a try! BTW- we had a long conversation at Bloomington last spring. I don't expect you to remember me but I remember you and your car.
