Default WTB: 68-75 Parking Brake Handle

Expanding my search options...

I'm looking for a 68-75 parking brake handle in very good condition. I have my original, and could get it re-chromed, but the button and plastic handle are in bad shape and I haven't found any replacement pieces for that. Anyone had any luck with that search? Most places say they've been "discontinued". Thanks, Jason

Doesn't have to be an early 68... Just pretty!

68 to early 70 is one design
71 to 75 is another design
then I think the 76 to 82 is the rubber design
If you want the correct parts then buy the correct years. Otherwise you will be spending 3 times the original amount in buying incorrect parts to get the original parts in restoring your car to original???
But if you don't want original then just buy what fits. But if you have an original numbers 68 then in my opinion spend the money right the first time it only helps the value in the long run.
Just my opinion.

I thought the '68 was unique, thought the gripe had a different design?

I've got a spare '68 parking brake that I will dig out.

Jason, let me know if you are interested after seeing the pictures.

Here's the grain on the grip of a '68

And my brother's '69

Both are original to the best of my knowledge, it would really only matter if you were planning on having the car judged.

My spare would need re-chroming too but it's not broken.

If possible, could I get an overall condition photo if them? What are you asking?

My camera died but I'll borrow my brothers again tomorrow and PM you pictures of the '68. My brother wouldn't like it if I sold the one from his car.
I just used his '69 handle to show the difference.
