Default F/S Custom Built Small Block Chevy - $2200

New price - $2200!

I bought this engine from another member of this forum (highhat) to put in my '76 C3. He had it in his C3. He bought a big block and needed to recoup some funds. I no longer have the time to work on this project so I'm selling the engine. Here is the info I got from him when I bought it.

-stock block 4 bolt main -bored 0.60 over (4.060) 388ci -zero-decked (.010")
-10.9 compression
-Eagle 3.75" 400 steel crank (polished)
-Eagle 4340 5.7" I-beam connecting rods
-SRP forged pistons -16cc dished
-Speed Pro Perf ring set
-Clevite 77 main bearing
-Clevite 77 rod bearings
-B&B Perf 7 qt oil pan w/pickup
-Melling Hi vol oil pump & drive
-ARP Perf Main stud kit; ARP head and intake bolts
-Liberty Perf Alum timing cover
-JP Perf billet Roller dbl timing chain
-Pionsen cam button & bolt
-Pionsen oil pump stud kit
-Pionsen bronze plugs
-roller rockers 1.5:1 w/CompCam polylocks
-Castrol synthetic oil 20w-50

-Comp Cam mechanical flat tappet & solid lifters Xtreme Energy Cam XS290-10
(Cam spec page -- http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Se...etails.asp?pri nter=1&Par tNumber=12-679-5 )

I think it's a 1 piece rear main seal, but I dont know for sure. Whatever was original was used.

Heads are aluminum Dart Pro 1 215s, with a supermod port job. www.dartheads.com Chambers also were matched and polished, and heads milled to 56cc chambers. 2.055 intake valve/1.60 exhaust. Victor Jr. Manifold was port matched to the heads. FelPro gaskets. The heads guy is Rich Maitre of RamRacing, who does the race port work for Henry Jackson Engines.

This is his Dyno sheet: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...2/dyno2006.jpg
While chassis dyno shows 341HP, I am running 3500 stall, which I am told affects the readout. Running 11.9 should equate to 440HP at the wheel (557 at crank) for a 3440 lb car (1973) and driver. See this link: http://www.converter.com/whatsnew_dynamometer.htm

Only been the dragstrip once to see its performance, and my time slip is attached (blew the shift --went from 1st to 3rd. Intended to shift at 6700rpm. Should do mid 11s:

Dusty, but minimal surface rust.

As you can see, all ports are plugged.

The rocker cover gaskets look fine.

Header ports closed off.

Under the dust there is still plenty of shiny metal.

As you can see there is a good coat of oil on the inside.

Would this engine work for a driver car ?
Or is this more a race performance oriented engine ?

Thanks

It's on the performance side of the spectrum but I seem to remember Highhat saying it was in his daily driver.
