Default WTS: 1968 Muncie M21 Four Speed ($750)

For sale is a 1968 Muncie M21 close ratio four speed. This transmission is in above average condition for something that is 46 years old. The gears show very minimal wear on the engagement teeth. The sliders were also in real nice condition. The bearings ,and synchro rings, were also in real nice shape. The bearings were nice and smooth, and the synchro rings latched onto the cone of the gears just as a new ring would.

The transmission was disassembled, all the parts cleaned in a parts washer, and then re-assembled with new gaskets, seals, tail housing bushing, and shift forks. I won’t claim this is a completely rebuilt ,better than new, transmission, since it’s not. This is ,however, an honest used transmission. I would not sell anything that I would not run myself. I opted not to glass bead any of the case components of this transmission, and instead chose to leave the original finish intact.

Case- 3925660
Tail Housing- 3857584
Side Cover- 3864685
Bearing Retainer- 3915020
ID Tag- 3915090
Assembly Code- P8D27

My research indicates that this transmission is an original close ratio trans out of a ‘68 Corvette. I’m asking $750 for the trans by itself, but I also have a Corvette yoke ,and factory shifter, that I will sell with it for an additional $75. Trans will be shipped on a pallet via FedEx, and will run $100. Feel free to message ,or call, with any and all questions. My number is (Seven Six Zero)803-7240. My name is Mike. Hi, is there a VIN number stamped on this transmission, and what is it if so?

Thanks

I could do $90 shipped on the shifter by itself. I'll post some pictures a little later.
