WTB Original Fan clutch 68-70 style, do not care about date code
Hi again,
Today I am looking for an original fan clutch for my early 69' small block. All these old clutches need to be rebuilt if they have not been used in some time, so price accordingly. It is a couple of hundred to get it rebuilt. Anyway, I only need the clutch and it should have the following dimensions.
Hub mounting= 1-3/4" bolt circle
Fan clutch-to-fan= 3" bolt circle
Fan blade center hole= 2-3/8"
Let me know if anyone has anything lying around.
Joe

Joe, these units are easy enough to find. I'm inclined to instruct you to find an original dated unit and not restamp during the restoration process. There is no need to and you'll sleep better at night knowing you did the ethical practice of not condoning restamps.

will one from a 77 work? I just took mine off and changed it but the old one was working good . I know why did I change it, because I didn't realize it was just the old original thermostat that was not working. you can have this one if it works on your car.

I need the SC clutch, an original. It needs to 68 - 70 style clutch.
Answered pm's. Just about any 45 yr clutch is going to need rebuilding. I have purchased these in the past
and they all needed rebuilt.
I have no problem with that, please help.

Still looking. I appreciate everyone that has gotten back to me on this. I am still looking, but I have a budget for this clutch. I can get a very nice reproduction clutch for about $200. I costs $200 plus to rebuild a used clutch, so my budget is around $50 for a used clutch. Even at that after all is said and done I will have $300 in it.
So, if anyone wants to let one go for my price let me know, as I have some time to make a decision.
Thanks again,
Joe

I am now hearing that the reproduction clutch (americas finest) are having manufacturing issues, so not available at this time.
So, I am on the hunt again. See the original dimensions in the post.
Anyone have a reasonably priced fan clutch? I may have to expand my budget a bit.

Fan clutch-to-fan= 3" bolt circle
