Cool story goes with this engine---original owner blew up his 67 BB Corvette in late 72---he read about this "new" LT1 engine and decided he had to have one. Ordered it over the counter at Chevrolet in the summer of 73. Installed engine in the 67 couple and it ran beautifully! Owner passed away shortly thereafter--and his best friend inherited the 67 and proceeded to put it back to original BB. Engine sat in the corner of his shop for 40 years waiting for a home in a project--that never came along. He pulled it apart last winter---looked like new inside. Installed new bearings, rings and gaskets. All original internals--everything checked out like new.
I bought it for a project that isn't going to happen. It is a very cool engine to have sitting in the garage--but needs to find a good home---too nice and too cool to not be used as GM intended---burning rubber!
For pickup in Kansas City area or I can assist in crating and delivering to a local terminal for shipping in the Kansas City area.
Asking $8500 which I feel is very reasonable.
PM me your email if you'd like additional pictures.
